SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I AM RUNNING OUT OF EXPERIENCES.
Like many of you, I have spent most of this last year inside the same four walls.
Oh sure, I go out for walks and sometimes I see people, but more often I don’t.
But I miss the overheard conversation in the grocery store or at the next table in a restaurant, the chance encounter.
Our experiences, large and small, make up the storyline of our lives. And right now, they are stunted.
Actually, I’ve had some wonderful experiences, even have met many new people around the world over Zoom. And these collaborative platforms have made it possible to continue my work and even achieve some breakthrough moments with clients.
But those experiences have been in 2-D. They feel more antiseptic because what’s missing are the smells, the sounds, the sights, and the touch that fully engage our senses.
Every day does feel like groundhog day. I am running out of experiences that I want to talk about.
Are you?
