If you have a good idea, and it simply remains in your head, is it really a good idea?

Ideas gain their power when they can be shared and discussed, probed and expanded upon.

So many times, we have a thought, or we even make a promise to ourselves and to others, and it doesn’t really go anywhere.

Writing down your idea, writing down your intention is the first step to make something happen.

If you don’t write it down, it doesn’t have life, it doesn’t have form.  It just exists within your own imagination.  It floats aimlessly in the either unmoored and undisciplined.

Writing it down IS your superpower.  You don’t have to be Shakespeare.  All you have to do is use the notes feature on your phone or if you are old school like I am, a notebook and pen nearby.  And when the idea strikes, you are ready to catch it.

I’d be curious to hear from you how writing ideas down can help move you forward in your work and in your life.
