My five-month-old puppy, Buddy, loves country music. Other forms of music just don’t do it for him, only country, and that is what calms him down. On a recent drive, I put on a country radio station and this fabulous song came on, ‘Til You Can’t by Cody Johnson.
There were two lines that really struck me.
“If you have a chance, take it while you have the chance.”
“If you have a dream, chase it because the dream won’t chase you back.”
Such a powerful communication in a song.
The whole piece is about going after what you want, spending time with the people who mean something to you, not waiting, and living every day to its fullest.
This goes to show that there is wisdom everywhere if you choose to hear it, see it, and appreciate it. And there is wisdom from unexpected places like my beautiful chocolate Labrador.
So, I have to thank Buddy for liking country music so much and for Cody Johnson for writing such a beautiful song.
